This space for rent
But more like a what's it worth type inquiry.

The subject: My 71 Road Runner, It's an Air Grabber car that originally had a bench seat with column shift automatic.
Car has been modified (to much to list here) for street/strip duty with a 451 and floor shifted (aftermarket) manual V/B 727 with a 3:55 SG 8 3/4 rear end. Battery is relocated to the trunk and an aluminum radiator takes care of the cooling chores. Homemade subframe connectors are welded in also.

It would need a total resto for the show crowd but with a little TLC it would be a nice driver. Rear quarters have mud and passenger door has had previous damage. Front inner fenders have the usual rust around the hood hinges but entire panel replacement would not be needed IMO. Vinyl top is shot also. Basically it needs a fresh paintjob as the current one is 8 years old and was none to great to begin with.

The interior needs help also, headliner is shot, dash pad is starting to crack, seats need recovered (I have the correct RR buckets and rear seat) and the carpet is faded.

As it sits it's a presentable driver that hauls ass and turns heads.

I realize it's only worth what someone is willing to spend and everyone has their own opinion, let me hear 'em. [smilie=a:

I love that body style.

I'd be happy to trade XL's Charger for it. :)

From what you've described, and judging by what's for sale locally, you could likely fetch around $10 - $13 big ones around here.

AHEM. You will not, yah turkey.
Gotta sell Beep? Barney finally bribe you with enough Avon to go to the dark side?
Resto is close, I reckon, but he is still a dweeb. [smilie=e:

Perhaps. [smilie=e:[/quote]

That sucks

Ready to get outta the trailer park, trying to figure out how.

That doesn't.

I figure Resto's about right, the trick is finding a buyer. It's not so easy to get a good price out of a modified car these days. All the cool cats want numbers matching too original to drive. [smilie=e:

or you get lucky and find a buyer across the pond...

I aint got space left for another car [smilie=e:

when it was a nova then maybe.... [smilie=a:

About 9-10 grand is what I was thinking. I hear ya on the modified cars Bob, heaven forbid owning a car that works better than the factory ever made it. [smilie=r:

No decision has been made yet, going back to the track with it this fall, after that I will determine it's fate. Lately it seems I don't wanna mess with it or can afford the gas and it just sits in the shed collecting dust. Heck, it still has less than 1000 miles on the new engine after nearly 2 years.

I hate to say it but E- bag will fetch the best price if you really have to let er go. If it were mine I would have done the same mods anyway and most other people that enjoy pushing the loud pedal would agree with what you have done. AS with anything measure what you have in it against what you can get and replacement costs down the line. The last one of those I had was a Minnesota rust bucket with a derby car 440 that was loose enough to make good power and it was a fun road runner to thrash on. Hope things work out for you so you can keep it. [smilie=e:

Why are you thinking of selling it if you have the stuff for the seats and all?

I can probably find someone who wants it...maybe my friend still wants a '71 B-bod after all...

Southpark voice " i'll give ya..........about.....3fifty"

*runs and hides*

Seriously it doesn't cost you anything to keep; You should sell that blue thing not to be mentioned on this board.

HA! You can't run! [smilie=f: :D

Blue thing is not mine to sell, besides it's dollar value is much less. [smilie=w:

I have options but some current debt reduction will aid greatly in my goal.

Like I said, this will not be a hasty decision.

I do hope you can manage to hang on to it, besides "BowTieBeeper*71" just won't work as well as "BowTieBarney" [smilie=g:
