Thinking about a 67 Fury III vert with a 383 auto. Opinions?

Thinking about a 67 Fury III vert with a 383 auto. It actually looks in pretty good shape, just a lot of cleaning up. I haven't seen it in person yet but the drivetrain is supposed to be rebuilt. He's asking $2100. Says it's been sitting outside for about 4 years. [smilie=bunny.gif]

I haven't seen it in person yet. It's about a 3 hour drive but it looks pretty solid. [smilie=e:
The drivetrain isn't in the car so I could paint it easily enough before dropping it back in. It would make a nice cruiser!

Well Russ,after seeing what your cuda looked like when you first got it and what you ended up doing to it to get it right,I just wonder if this could be a money pit too.I can see a quicky paint job there and I bet there is some filler under it. Been outside since it was done with the trunk open and leaning to one side.Wanna bet the drains in the fender are plugged?Just trying to be realistic here,look it over and then decide.You could quicky it again and cruise it around some and then mabeye trade up from there.Definitly go look anyway. Well haven't heard back from him yet, don't know if I should keep bugging him or not. I'd rather have a 67 Sat/Belv/GTX vert anyway. [smilie=e:
 
He just listed it with Ebay again, what a moron, now he just paid more fees and if I go through Ebay to buy it that will be even more fees for him.

I don't think it's going to go for too much money either.
 
i'd be all over that. rag top, roll cage, yank my power train into that bad boy & race something rally different
