Yeah the 4wd launch is awesome, my buddy had a 94 GC 5.2 (K&N airfilter & cat back dual exhaust) with the full time 4 wheel setup, it came off the line pretty good.
I used to race him when I had my 5.9L '98 QC 4X4 with an 8' bed,(K&N & cat back dual exhaust) but he couldn't stay ahead through first gear... and he put 2 Xcases in (first was rebuilt & the second was brand new) and was looking at a third when he traded it in. He was told something with a chain inside of them stretches quickly if you "run it too hard" :wtf: (whatever that means, it's a friggin Mopar didn't know that was possible)
Ohhhhh yeah, I didn't use 4wd and I got some pretty white smoke if I nailed it going around a corner, and I was running big tires 285/75/16 I think they are equal to 33's :shifty:
How do the later 8.25's hold up? My Jeep has 210K and I'm thinking I'm going to the JY and find a lower mileage unit, hopefully with a limited slip, and rear disc brakes
Couple more queries, What trans is behind the 4.0? Will it bolt to the 360? Can I get a torque convertor for it(motor is a 74)? If everything else is a go, will it hold up behind a not too radical 360? Last one here, I want to get the single plane M1 Intake that bolts to the Magnum heads, have the injector bungs installed, and purchase the 4brl throttle body (I'd add PN's but I can't find my Mopar Performance catalog) and probably the Dak. R/T PCM(?) could this work?!?!?! I really want EFI, and I would like OD, but that is not as important.
BTW I'm not worried about state inspections, where I live as long as you have a horn, wipers, lights and the tires seem to have tread it'll pass
