The Shit List

Dr.Jass

Pastor of Muppets
It's too cold to actually go out to the garage and inventory, but I'm making notes in my mind of what I've got and what's headed to the scrapyard. So far The Shit List is comprised of the following parts:

  • The 360 long block
  • Fully-machined, magnafluxed stock-bore 318 block with new cam bearings
  • E-body 8¾" axle housing and shafts
  • Low-mile 489-case 5.13 gears
  • Four small-block aluminum bellhousings
  • Dodge truck 8¾" axle shafts (same length as C-body but factory-original large bolt pattern)
  • A very-nice set of Conquest/Starion wheels (once the tires are off)
  • Two 14x6 Mopar Rallyes, standard bolt pattern
  • Six 15x7 steel wheels (not the cop ones)
  • Numerous 8¾" dropouts, all bare, as well as 10 years worth of 8¾" differential small parts
  • The TD05-12a turbocharger off one of my Conquests
  • All my Holley stuff that isn't new, including the modified 1850 main bodies, baseplates, and two sets of center-hung float bowls

That's just a mental note. Chances are the list will grow quite a bit tomorrow when it's not colder than a witch's tit in a brass bra out there. Yeah, I spared some of the parts that board members have mentioned they want, but this is Round 1. I hate to be a jackass, but "I want" doesn't pay the bills, and I have no income at this point (I'm not getting unemployment benefits yet) so Round 2 is probably inevitable. You will be notified by PM prior to Round 2 about anything in which you've expressed interest.

I'll also be scrapping a perfectly-good 8HP snowblower, 26" cut, because it needs a $5 chute retainer nearly anyone on the board could make out of a small scrap of sheetmetal rather than buy it. I don't need it, but I need to pay bills.

Seems like several of those items would bring much better than scrap price on E-bay or Craigs List?

No action on Craigslist, and I can't sell on eBay after the Road Runner hood incident years ago. Not only did I get kicked off of both eBay and PayPal, I took it in the ass for over $600 for a perfectly-good part.

Nobody local with a big enough heart to help out a fellow 'Nut list and sell his junk? :(:helpme::huh:

I would be glad to help but I don't think the potential buyers would be happy, shit would seem shady. :doubt:

I've got both accounts, (ebay feedback rating 1786) and I would let you in my ebay to post & sell, but I can't think of an efficient way to transfer funds. Cash by mail would be the cheapest and only about 2 days. :hmmm:

Yes, but I can't afford the comp claim when you fall off another porch, SmellsaLittle.
That mostly happened cause I was standing too close to the edge when you slammed that Chevy guy with whatever it was you said. :D
no porches round here
Worst I can do around here is fall over the railing for the wheelchair ramp and into muddy grass.:toot:

Nobody will buy the 5.13's already in a case? Damn, I would have figured that would be one of the first things to go. Of course, I would have figured much of the crap I scrapped last year would have been gone too...

V8440, the 5.13 gears are not set up in a case... they're in a Richmond box. I've got a couple of people interested in those at the moment.

I do, however, have a set of 4.10s set up in a 489 case (supposedly with a solid crush spacer--I'm not upsetting it to find out) with less than 60 miles on them. The problem there is that I'm keeping the diff, so the backlash would have to be set up again once someone found their diff of choice. I'd gladly sell the complete pig, but desperate or not, the price is going up by $500 for that particular differential. It's too hard to find.

I've also got someone actually interested in my Dodge truck axle shafts. Local demo guy's got a C-barge, but would like the larger hub out back for both large-wheel availability and more strength. I was sure those would end up at the scrapyard.
