The dreaded call....

Remember my step dad who is ill? Looking pretty bad now. I just got back from seeing him, and had the good sense to bring the kids. I talked with him by myself for a while, so that was nice.
Anyway....my mom just called and said they are giving him a day or two tops. So, once again, I am gonna be toddling off. I will try and drop in, but dial up (28.8) sucks weinie.
Not sure when I am leaving, I wish I didn't have too. Either way, if I am gone, that is where!

Just got off the phone with my mom....he is on a full respirator, cranked to 90, and his body is giving out. His heart is going now. This sucks.

I wish the best for you Jon and your family. I just lost both grand parents about a year apart recently. One went after a long battle and the other went suddenly. No matter how you look at it it's extremely tough to deal with. I'll keep you and your family in my prayers.

That sucks...my condolences go out to you, XL...my cousin (he was only 4 months old) died a bit over four years ago, and my aunt and uncle are still coping with it.
