Ummm no it isn't, the mystery gets deeper. The issue is with "couple". Everyone knows once Gio finishes one, he's face down in the ditch. So how did the second (to make it a couple) get opened and consumed?
Unless he opened on and poured it into three glasses and counted those as a couple or several.
