The man who inspired the word "anchor" because of his professionalism and unflappable way of delivering even the hardest news in an un-colored manner. WE need more like this in the news... RIP!

Probably the last, possibly the only objective newsman in US history. No politics, rarely an opinion... just the news as it was. There's good reason he was still considered the most-trusted man in American media as much as a decade after he retired.

May God be with you, Mr. Cronkite. Those of us whom remember you will always hold you as the standard.

Cronkite had one of those voices that was instantly recognizable and he sounded trustworthy.
