Talk about your oddball headers!

Mark Nixon

The Best Fun In The World Is Right There,
Okay, so I have had this really oddball looking pair of headers kicking around in my stuff for years and noone could tell me what they were for, even did some web searches using various descriptions and no luck.
So to-day I call up Holley/Hooker and give them the numbers (5114) and the guy says they are an obsolete number, puts me on hold, then come back with a totally different application than I ever figured he would.
I figured they were for a '62-'65 B body, using an LA engine. WRONG!!!

Turns out the application says they are for a '69-'72 C body with a 273-360 and they have 1-7/8" tubes, so they work on large-port heads.
I'm certain they'd also work on the '66-'68 C bodies, as well.

So, now what the hell do I do with them?

Mark.

Heheh, yeah, but not the "boat" most folks would imagine by my saying "boat". :D
I listed them on the "Dry Dock" for $150, if anyone would be interested, those guys would be.

Mark.

They would probably be best for someone running a 408 stroker in a c body, or something like that. Your average 318 or stock 360 car would probably be better off with 1 5/8th tubes.

(Hey Mark, if you want a laugh, go look in the hemi-roids section at the post called "dumbshitarono". Don't have a mouthful of drink when you do though!)
