Stretch

Hey! There’s no easy button for a body like this!
Welcome to Newport News VA.

We went to the mariner's museum. Then to Washington D.C. to visit my aunt and uncle. We then rode the subway to the Smithsonian institute air and space museum and the natural science museum. Chrissie and I came back to Va. and went to Virginia Beach. Today or tomorrow we are going to go fishing on the ocean with Chrissie's uncle on his boat, weather permit

Cod?

Watch out for the sand sharks - pain in the ass if ya get one on your line.

Isn't this almost anniversary time? Good to hear from ya's.

That was may 27th. Boothead.

We got the boat running yesterday. One of the engines quit last time out. No fuel. We traced it down piece be piece until we found a piece of silicone in the shut off valve in the fuel separator three hours in the 110 deg sun was hell.

Hope you're having a good time. If you have an extra day to kill, go see some of the James river Plantations in the Hampton Roads/Tidewater area there is some awesome history there.

Well fishing was a success. We caught a bunch of flounder. The first one I caught was 24” and what a blast to bring in. We were fishing in the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay directly above the bay tunnel.

The day before, a sailboat exploded in the harbor and there were pieces of it floating around the bay. The boats deck was blown completely off of the hull and it landed on top of two other boats catching ones sails on fire. It seems the owner was fixing a propane stove below deck and was out on the deck when she blew. The owner was blown out into the bay and is in serious condition last I heard. After seeing the devastation it’s a miracle he survived at all. When we returned from fishing a dredger was pulling the sunken hull off of the bottom of the slip where she was docked and loading it onto a barge.

We left Newport News this morning at 5:00 A.M. and just got back to Chrissies parents house, It is 12:30 A.M. hopefully we can return in January to do some striper fishing.

Here are two links to the sail boat explosion....

wow, would've been something to see. Hope he's ok, he'll have one hell of a story to tell.

We caught a bunch of halibut.
So you went fishing just for the halibut?

Wow. Crazy stuff with the explosion. I wonder if he's lying in the hospital saying, "Well, there was this squirrel, see..."

Here's to hoping he's going to be OK.

Sounds like a heck of a week, Stretchamatic.
