[smilie=J: Yeah, your right looks like a clown car with 'em, lose the hood and wing, change the rear wheels but, you gotta leave the side pipes and paint it flat black :nanna:

anyone else kinda miffed by the lack of good pic's...you would think for a "show"(and no go) car there would be piles of realy realy REALY good pic's of the thing not just dark dimly lit shop photos

uhh correct me if im wrong but "Stainless Steel Rotors" is that even posible?..i would think they wouldnt brake right

I think he means they were made by Stainless Steel Brake Company, not that the rotors are actually stainless. I've not actually seen a set of stainless rotors; many companies plate their aftermarket rotors to prevent corrosion on the non-friction areas, but the rotors are steel or iron and the plating isn't stainless.

I may be wrong, but shouldn't 509RWHP be producing much-better track numbers, particularly in a light car whose setup screams "drag strip" and isn't particularly road-safe? 509 at the crank seems more likely, but even then I'd expect a little quicker times. It's fast, no doubt, but the times tell the tale without what seem like inflated HP/torque numbers.

I like it, but I agree that the scoop and wing, along with that ghastly steering wheel, seem out of place on what otherwise looks to be a very-cool period piece.

a car for all ages, like most of it, but as Jass noted, there are a few items that just don't belong.

I didn't think I'd like the car, but minus the goofy shit, it's cool. Besides, straight axle cars make me feel all funny:shifty: . I had the pleasure of riding in the yellow straight axled 57 Chev that was in HR a few years ago, and the car was surprisingly civilized on the street and highway. The builder told me that the axle was purposely built with some neg camber, and a ton of positive caster, and it handled much better than they ever expected.

There was an awesome flaked 55 Nomad that, used to cruise O street Lincoln (maybe still does) with the str8 axle, dying at lights etc.. way cool!

perhaps this is better for "guilty pleasures" but fits with the straight axle theme.

I want and will trade everything left nut included for this car! no 'pologies
