I took some suggestions and tried a few things like painting the bumpers a soft grey/silver color, I also cleaned the instrument clusters and did some detailing. I'm leaving the hood and deck lid flat black and see how I like it, looks good to me right now but I'm not exactly color co-ordinated if you get my drift :bwuhaha: . I'm taking the car to the FL Mopar Nats on 3/5, I hope to see some of you guys there. Anyway here are some pics, I think the bumpers turned out alright:

So with the weight reduction and horsepower increase what do you hope to turn down there at sea level?:helpme:

Ya didn't really have to paint the front bumper......

.....nobodies ever gonna see it.

Looks great! Was it some special paint, or just a satin silver? Either way, looks nice!

Thanks for the compliments, the bumper paint is Duplicolor bumper coating, went on good and looks OK.

I'm hoping for mid 10's after I get it all sorted out with the old school STR-15 and AFB's. I'll be testing later with a 4500 style intake and an 1150 dominator later in the year, then we'll see what this puppy can REALLY do.

Thats a 9 second exner based wheelie puller if I ever saw one. Hang on and spank it hard. I have a 12 pound sledge hammer to borrow if you wanna dispose of those current carbs.:toot:

That would be MOST excellent. Trust me, I've been tempted to beat those things into Coors cans on more than one occaision. I think the intake is the biggest boat anchor at this point though. The AFB's are the only legal carb for NSS mopar wedges though.

Well that just suks big hairy donkey diks. I suppose if it runs right you get tore down. 68, we need to dig into the lil bag of tricks here. Sanded metering rods and mallory metal on the upper door counter weights come to mind.:hmmm:

Can the carbs be modded at all?

It's always cheap & easy to start drilling small holes in the secondary counterweights. :toot:

SNOOK , you could paint the bumpers pink with purple pokadots and it wold still look BAD A$$ !!! :giggedy: :D
