You know how you can quote someone's post by using the quote tags [ quote ] and [ /quote ]
and link an image from another site with the image tags [ img ] and [ /img ] ? (Note: there are extra spaces in there so that the actual text shows up and not trigger the code.)
Those are called BBCodes, and if you didn't know about them, now you do.
Well, we've just added some more that should be a welcome addition to the site.
There's the Banana sign:
[ banana ] :nanna: [ /banana ] gives you this
[ banana ] Your text here. [ /banana ] gives you this
Then there's the devil sign:
[ evil ] Nodda's #1 fan [ /evil ] gives you this
And then there's WTF sign
[ sign ] whatchitalkinabout? [ /sign ] gives you this
Again, the example text shown above has extra spaces inside the square brackets so that the text would show up and not trigger the code that makes the signs show up. Get it?
You can put pretty much anything in between the tags.
Here's one for searches and link to eBay:
[ ebay ] Dodge Charger [ /ebay ] gives you a link to eBay's search results for Dodge Charger. Like this: Dodge Charger
Put whatever you are searching for in there and you'll get a link for that search.
Here's the neat part. If you want to link to a specific item, just enter in the item number and you'll get a link that takes you right there. No more cutting and pasting URLs - just cut and paste the item number.

Have fun!
We added some buttons in the advanced post editor too. So just like when you click the insert image button to get the IMG tags, you can click on one of the new buttons to get the tags for these new little treats. Play with 'em. you'll see.
