Or am I over-reacting? :shifty:

Did you put in a stroker crank and forget to do some clearance on the block??

Dude that sucks....:(

Looks like someone peeked under the skirt of one of their pistons. I bet the poor piston didn't even know she was being molested!

It looks like 69.5 nailed it. I'm pretty sure it's the teeth from the top timing sprocket, although I haven't yet pulled the cover to confirm. If you look carefully at the second pic, you can see that many of the bits are the same size and (tooth - like) shape.

I looked over all the pistons from below and they all appear intact.

At any rate, I'm done for this summer. Too many "around the house" projects to complete before the snow flies.

Hopefully it is just the sprocket and they didn't do any damage on the way through.

Best of luck.

Pull the cover so that you know for sure. Then, get a new sprocket to have on hand in case you find a spare coupla hours. If you do, go at it with no expectations of getting her fired up again..... and you will get it fired up again.

yeah the shape and common size is what caught me.....agreed get the parts stick em aside and wait for the time...it will give you something to do when you have some down time and have "the itch"
