ouch!!! put a feel out for a fan blade and fan shrould.

hopefully a rad shop can fix the rad..( fix that tranny line- looks like it's leaking too :o )

two core or a 3 core unit???

That sucks Rav

Had exactly that happen last winter - fortunately, it was on the red car which I was pulling the last of the parts from. It only damaged one of my wheel dollies.

I went and got one of those rubber pads for the floor jack after that, so it would not slip so easily.

3 core 28" anyone have one ?

Ouch, I can feel your pain. Did that with my first car, bent the radiator up and all, suprisingly the trans cooler held and the radiator didnt leak a bit! it was a 6 cyl though. I have a 2-core 28 incher out of a Coronet but thats all I have.

What really ticked me off is that I had a re-man radiator I pulled out of the donor truck in my 440 stepside, had a dang motor mount break and it wasnt a safety one. Ka-Ching, fan right into that thing! I was so mad! Luckily it was a SB radiator and I had another one out back.

why the hell dont they make rubber hats for jacks so they dont slip?
There's a 3ton floor jack at Napa up here with a rubber coated crown/head on it. I forget who makes that jack but I would assume Napa's country wide would have the same?

That'll buff right out.:shifty:

Major bummer Rav, finding another shroud may prove even more difficult than a replacement radiator. :(

As stupid as it sounds, if thats the original radiator keep it around somewhere. The next guy might need it. :)
Bummer breaking your car.

the rad and shroud arnet what concerns me it the major JOLT the the CRANK GOT when the jack hit the pulley dead on and then went into the rad .

looks like now is the time for the 440 to come out and go in for a check up . so its possible i may be shopping for a new forgged crank .

I doubt that you could hurt the crank that easy, but it does sound as though you need new motor mounts.:shifty:
