Shine On You Crazy Diamond!

I heard about that yesterday from a friend of mine. His obsession with 'Floyd is very weird and he sent everybody he knew an e-mail when he found out about it.

One of my friends dads was a HUGE Floyd fan....had every album and even managed to see em twice:eek: Which is kinda rare since they didn't really tour much to my knowledge. I love Pink Floyd, don't nessicarily know who(Barrett/Waters/Gilmour) was on what album but I don't think there was really a bad Floyd song...well ok some of the opera type stuff on The Wall was a bit off-putting :D but that was still a great album! Truly a sad moment for Floyd fans.

How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?

Sad news, Pink Floyd is certainly a part of my music library.

Seen them at Roosevelt stadium in Jersey City New Jersey just before they released Dark Side of the Moon. What a show, I think, I was only 16 and tripping my azz off!! The Crazy Diamond will be missed!!!

My greatest concert regret is I didn't see them. I had a chance to see Wish You Were Here, and passed. I may go see Roger Waters solo when he comes to Detroit, I have read that he plays a lot of Floyd stuff.

RIP Syd.

I partied with a guy in high school who called himself Pink Lloyd.:bravo:

I must admit I like the later PF ( dark side of the moon ...) more after he was replaced by David Gilmour.

That said he made a great contrabution to rock and will be morned he has been missed sence he left the band.

Strange he lived and died about 30 miles from where I lived in england
