seat decisions

dodgedifferent2

hung like a stud field mouse and
ok i was planning to reupholster the 67 dodge dart seats and add the seat medallions and put in new foam.
I was bored the other day and was adding to my wishlist at classic industries when i realized the prices of all the parts to redo the dart seats and it was in the $700 range. [smilie=2:

So now my thinking is what are some very comfy seats that are readily available to obtain and mount in the dart?

I did take a peek at some procar rally seats but that adds up pretty quickly too.

Ford mustang seats? anybody know the comfortability ? also hoping to find black since the whole interior is black :hmmm:

the 80s mudstain seats SUCK...ill say that...what about a set of used procars or recaros....im not sure what your looking for in the way of "style" so that kinda limits what i can pop up with for ideas

what about just a standard set of abody buckets?

looking for that vintage look but with comfort.

I have a couple sets of 67-69 a body bucket seats but they all need to be redone.

A pair of those plus shipping, taxes, and duty (if applicable) gets close enough to $700 that I'd reconsider rebuilding the old seats.

Sure, you could recoup some cost by selling the old ones, but.....

What did XL have in Mopey?
They were black buckets... he wouldn't have used them if they weren't comfy to some degree.

i know i sent it with some seats but he was planing on a full recover..everything new from the frame up

i dont have any 70's style seats that would have been in mopey i assume they went to wooden shoe land with mopey.
I have two sets of the a body seats that need recovery from ground up, but i stopped dead in my tracks when the prices seemed alot.

The one option is the reclining ability of the procar seats. So i want to be sure i have comfort on those long road trips, but still have access to back seat for rugrats.

I do want the look of the stock seats.

I am just planning on bolting the ratty seats i have in the car till i have the cash saved up for the rebuild, but if a junkyard would have a good comfy seat that could be bolted in (minor modifications possible) then i would just go that route till the cash is saved for seat rebuild.

Yeah, they're pretty awesome seats. These have the adjustable thigh and lumbar supports, too. I'm not actually sure I want to get rid of them, they're so nice... well, that and everyone seems to balk at my price of $300 firm for the pair.

I also have a set of perfect leather buckets from a BMW 528i, but it was a sedan and I don't think the backs flip forward for rear-seat access. They do look kind of Mopar-ish; the upholstery actually nearly matched the rear seat for my LeBaron. Those are tan, though. Maybe 71ChargerR/T would want them for his wagon project. I'm only asking $150 OBO for those.

ive got a set of 318i "sport" edition seats with ALL the extra adjustments...they adjust more than the conq seats
