OK guys,

With a cash outlay of $145, I have scored some major-league items from two different places.

First one happened yesterday, well, sort of. Guy came by that was running a 360 in a Truck demo (international or something) and was needing a points distributor. Had a re-man out of my '78 that someone stuck in there. Anyway he mentioned he had a Doba that I might be itnerested in for parts (I was). Said it had a 400, but it was out and that it ran and the trans was good. He wanted $100 for it,

I gave him the dist (ended up giving the dist and $70 for it)and went and looked at the car. Its actually a '78 thats not bad and yes, its an N code 400 car! Very pleased there. No title but its parts car. Has I know a BB K-member, Heavier duty t-bars, and even arear sway bar. The 'bars and sway bar are going into my '78 Monaco 2-dr. Maybe even the 8 1/4 if its a SG. Also has a two-speaker dashpad, wrong color, but I can get a cover for it. I've been searching for this for awhile.

Today went to a Swapmeet with my buddy in his sunroof '73 Duster. Found me a complete '95 318 Mag top end, heads, Valvecovers, intake, and exhaust. Wanted $100, but took $75! Even has rockers! I'm STOKED! I'm planning to experiment with an LA motor and see what kinds of power I can get with those heads.

LOL! I love your finds....they keep me happy so I don't have to buy stuff. :D
 
Jamie do either you or your buddy with the '73 Duster hve experince with leaking factory sunroofs? [smilie=e: My '74 Space Duster360 sunroof leaks pretty bad when it rains. [smilie=e: I'm also looking for any parts to fix the problem but they're hard to find. [smilie=e: Any help would be appreciated.

LMAO! Closing it would help....I believe it is a common problem, Dave. Check Laysons or Y.O. they may have a kit.
 
Well, heres a few pics of the 'doba (and engine and, well, you'll see).

The car overall isnt too bad. Its almost going to be a sin to part it, but, well, its a 'doba and I've got the grey '78 Dodge out there that HAS a title and is more of what I want. This one is kinda stripped down, manual windows, locks, and seats, kinda unusual.

Found a new set of U-Joints in there, an aftermarket Cassette player that WORKS well, and some other goodies including a new air block (goes between line connector and condenser at the firewall).

Yes thats ME in that pic and YES, that engine IS running in the back of my '89 Ram pickup. The engine (400-4v) runs well and I think that was well worth the $70 I payed for the car!

Jamie, the 78 Doba I parted was 50x's worse than the one you have, and I still made $600 on it, and the car was largely intact (including drivetrain) when we hauled it away. Put those side mirrors on Ebay. Mine brought $145 for the pair. There's tons of stuff on there that people will buy. Moparstyle has lots of Doba/Magnum owners who are interested in those parts.
