Sad news

Well, the silver lining is that it's not being shut down entirely as of yet.

I imagine Ken will probably retire--happily so--living fat by reaping the royalties gained from sales of hypereutectic pistons which bear his father's name but that his namesake company does not, nor ever did, actually make. You can bet that licensing right ain't part of the sale.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the market flooding of relatively decent Chinese knock off parts. I myself wouldn't touch them but I know a few guys who have. Is KB's main business the building end or the parts end? One of our local speed shop guys the other day was commenting on the proliferation of Chinese junk and how it's really taking a cut of the market share. This post just kinda reminded me :hmmm:

*Thankyou "free" trade*:doubt:

the new owner should change the name to "Great White" instead.

y'know, like the shark.

They can't... the casting mark would then be GW, and everyone would think giowest bought the place. Ever try to bolt a cylinder head on upside-down?

*ducks*
