With the Fourth falling on Tuesday, apparently most shops didn't bother opening today. There's been six of us standing around the store today wishing we had playing cards or Tiddly Winks.

Nothing slows down time like not having anything to do.

BTW, Happy belated Canada Day, Great White Northerners. :dance:
 
So slow I left at 11 this morning and came home to mow the grass, needed something to wake me up.
And I still get paid to so not much downside today:giggedy:
 
Went into work expecting to be there all day, about 10 am the boss says all the appointments for today have been called and will be coming in early and once they are done so are we...locked the doors at 12:30. :dance:

So now I'm at my second job, getting settled into our new home...........:rolleyes:

Here's hoping that you're enjoying that job. How were you able to relegate that to 2nd job status? That always became JOB ONE at my house until it was done.
 
Same deal on this side of the creek.
Just about everybody is closed - 'cept for me :) - and I'm not REALLY open, just trying to catch up on some stuff.
Nice quiet day to work, largely uninterrupted by the phone:dance: .

Easy, the first job pays the mortgage. ;)

Actually I enjoyed my afternoon off by getting Z's Camaro out of the garage and giving it a bath, after years of storage it was filthy. :dgt:
Then the Ram got a much needed bath. With temps in the upper eightys and high humidity I made it a point give myself a shower in the process. :D

Somehow I doubt a wet T-shirt contest would be the same with just yourself...than again as 68 once said...too skinny! No tits!:bwuhaha:
 
I wish it was slow today. Between the two of us at the slowest branch we had over 300 transactions and went through 30,000. Sucked ass!

You work at a bank eh? My gal Z works at a bank. Can be a stressful job on busy days for sure...I hear of it often.:D ;)

Never mind my above post. Despite the better than usual spelling, my brain was disconnected from my fingers at the time I posted that. Sorry if I got some people mixed up there :(
 
I worked on July 4th. Got to work at 8, sat around from 8-930 with no cars to look at, finally started writing estimates at 930, got done at 2, cleaned my desk, and sat around until 530, then went home. 8.5 hours of double time and a half. LOL thanks for paying your insurance premiums on time. :bwuhaha:
