Working on a sick duck the 4.7 knocks. I was buying it. New top end and rod bearings so i passed still working on it. We take care of fleet of UTVs, ATV and snowmobiles. The sick duck is tow rig.
I am working a min wage job full time and UTV maintenance part-time so cash is tight, just moved to Denver in September. Robertson Tech shop is long closed and I was broke found jobs and went to work.
On the duck
We have fixed all the problems on the 2003 SLT but the knock., if I get more money I may still buy it. Build a motor 403 and drive it.. The rust was only in the bed.
I have worked 35 hours toward buying this duck for 150 hrs. but then could not fix knock with top end, and rods bearing rebuild.
So boss sold me a ford e350 for the 35 hrs worked that I had worked toward the Duck. So I have something to drive.
The work I do for RangerManiac is fun we are combining the guts from a 1997 ranger trans with the case and control from a 1993, if that works we are rebuilding the 4.0 to turbo charge. Putting it into his ranger.
Next he has a blown 2012 Nissan Titan Heavy Metal Chrome we will rebuild that next so lots or free time work on top of my 2 jobs.
