Road trip? Day trip?

I've got some vacation time coming up and my wife has a week off at the same time.

I was flipping through the latest Car Craft [smilie=f: and they have an article on 21 kick ass road trips.

All are pretty much out of my league distance-wise, but it got me to thinking.. Are there any good road trips or even just day trips closer to home?

Think South Western Ontario, Western New York, Eastern PA, maybe even Michigan.

Mackinac Island is a beautiful place, if you feel the urge to step back into the 1890s. Great place to visit, but unless you want to drop huge coin, stay on the mainland and head out to the island in the morning and make a day of it.

DCF, it looks like you already have it figured out, well, except that Michigan thing ( the roads suck). New York and Eastern PA have some beautifully scenic roads to just cruise along and enjoy. I don't knoe w about that Ontario thing, I've only seen 5 miles of it or so....

How many KMs / day and days do you have off? I an suggest more after I know that much.

Well, I probably have 3 days with the family to figure out - the rest of the first week is booked up.

Then I have another week off after that. Which I should spend in the garage, but, well, if the New Yorker is sitting there.. ya know. It'll need to be exercised.

You'll want to visit Saskatchewan if you want to see the "shittiest roads in the world" capital.
