Sponsored by Chevy... I HAD to go for work, and I HAD to drive a Vette around an autocross course.
I gotta tell ya.... If I had a spare 50K I would have gone striaght to a Chevy dealer and drove out with one TODAY. The new Vette is very impressive... much more so than any of the crap cars that came before it. A monster on the track and a freaking Cadillac off it. The Viper is better and faster on the track, but nowhere near as comfortable when it's on the street.
The Z06 and the Viper are similar, in that niether car is practical as a daily driver, and if you look at price, for 80K (roughly what both cost) the Viper wins.. But this iteration of the Vette wins hands down against anything on the road as the ultimate luxury/sport vehicle.
And this is coming from a guy that HATES GM....
