We've run into a snag moving the site to the new host.

Yes, well, I don't expect the site's actual sweater got caught on a piece of physical chain-link surrounding the new server as Bob walked it through the gate, you pinhead. I was looking for more-specific information.

I could get all technical if you want, but in short the database is too big to move the data remotely. It has to be done by the hosting company. They said they would, but haven't yet.

Another possibility is that I'll have to do some custom programming to update the database via a different route than the interface they provide. Too much paying work to do right now, so that's on the back burner.

We will be moving soon though, one way or another.

K - maybe it's just me, but I really don't think there is all that much posted here over the past year that it would a great loss if we just lost it & had to start all over again....

Just keep the membership stuff & sh*tcan the rest? Would that make it easier??
