Reaching out, way out........

RUSTY Cuda

In over my head!
I can almost touch it.......... the cruise around the neighborhood is gettin close!
mr 340 stopped by today & wouldn't let me just sit & BS, so we finished off the lights, got the "correct" power steering hose in.
Later we poped over to charger mans & he ended up workin there to free up a stuck brake drum, the man doesn't know how to relax! [smilie=e:
So I'm thinkin of the check off list before blast off, hang the front bumper(need somethin to hang the plate from) solder a pinhole in the rad tank, remove the top hose & see if that is the other leak or if I have more work on the stubb to do, put in side marker lights, check & see if the seat betlts are there(cops like to write that ticket here) , wiper arms & blades .... ???
Oh yea, the wheel refinishing kit should be here monday, so I can do up the centerlines, have at least one thing on the car that looks good! [smilie=e:
Shootin for next weekend, wish me luck & detain the murph! [smilie=e: Rich.

don't worry about Murphy's luck with mr340 around......just make sure his squirrels don't chew on something! [smilie=e:

Good luck Rusty and a Good Guy alert for mr340 for helping! [smilie=e:

Between coats on the 73 parts I got all the side markers on(had to use a new one, 3 of the 4 ambers from the 2 cars were broken) so I put the light fixtures into em & turn on the parkin lights to see how perty & ZZZZZZapp, the fuse blows! guess we gotta find what had blown it in the first place(was blown when we started the other day, replaced it & all bulbs & it worked fine?)
Got one wheel all cleaned up & dug in my junk drawer for a wing nut for the air cleaner.
looked over the seat belts, fronts not there & the carpet is in & not cut for em!! that should be fun! [smilie=e: Rich.

use a large screw driver to locate and then a drill bit once youve located the holes....useualy alot easyer that way.

NO! DON’T DO IT THAT WAY!

Locate the hole and slice an "X" over it with a razor blade, that way you don't tear up the carpet and wrap it around your drill bit. It also looks a bunch nicer.

Drilling through the carpet with a power drill is a nice way to determine the thread count of your carpet.
It'll wind itself so tight and so fast around the drill bit, you'll wonder what the fork happened.
Use a sharp knife instead, and keep the hole as small as possible.

lol ive never had a problem doing it course i go real slow and use a "unibit" they cut thru anything

actualy ive got a few of them the bigest is a1 1/4 or something real close to it...never had it snag cartpet just cuts right thru.....tho i did use a normal bit once by mistake...what a mess
