Trying to find my weed and
I have an issue that's been churning my guts all day and some spillage would sure make it feel better, so...

For the last few months I've been in contact with a guy whose house I pass every day on the way to work. Sitting in his front yard has been a 71 Javelin. The car belonged to a buddy of his that was intent on restoring it but he moved to B.C. and the car had sat for the last 8 months. In this fellows garage was a rebuilt Mopar 360 that was to be the heart of the future AMC street thumper. After trying to contact his friend about the car for months he was finally ready to let it go for the grand total of $250 just to get it out of his driveway (he's an Olds guy with a sweet 70 442 in the shop out back). To make it simple, the B.C. friend finally got in touch. Said his ex-girlfriend would be buy to pick up the car, which she did 2 days ago. No big deal right? Along comes a truck/trailer and loads the Javelin, 360 and all. B.C. guy told ex-girl she could do whatever she liked with it as he's not returning and didn't give a shit.

The dumb bitch had it taken to the scrapyard (engine too) !!!

I mean scrapyard, not junkyard. Upon hearing this today I called the yard and was told the car was nothing but a 3x3 cube now and even if it wasn't they don't sell back to the public under any circumstances.

Easily restorable, needed some floor work, 5 slot mags, complete car, black bucket interior, console etc. yadda yadda. Not to mention a perfectly good 360 still showing hone marks in the cylinders. FUCK FUCK FUCK!!!!!!!!!!

Guess you could call it one that got away but that's far too mild a term. If someone had taken the car and was doing something with it I'd be fine. But to have some ignorant, dumb assed bitch come along and just have it crushed makes me so fucking mad I could piss razor blades. Another piece of automotive history has died and dreams of an affordable 360 for the Dart have been scalded for now. Again, FUCK FUCK FUCK!!!!!!!!!!

Things like this make my chest hurt as a car guy and some people need to be shot in the face and dumped in a hole.

WOW----MY MASTERPIECE AND MY WIFE

YEARS AGO I HAD YES HAD a 69 mustang that had 425 hph/ i smacked it up 3 days before i got married / so i got married and put an add in the paper to sell it for 2500/ i was at work and a guy comes to the door and i know he is coming over / i was on my way home from work and when i got there the horse was gone/ i went inside and my lovely wife said she sold the car for 250/ WHAAATT! !!! i was so ----- i finally talked to the guy and the engine and tranny were out for an install into a ford galaxy/ i told him to tranny and if he thot it rite to use the rear end to so it would take the punch/ 5 weeks later he phoned me and told me about his old tranny an how the his wife could put it into rev and lite a smoke and the garage door would lift and by that time the tranny kicked in/ he was happy with this purchase and told me how that 351 clevland and trans and pig worked in his car/ he said his wife found out how well it worked when she put it in rev and done the same stuff as before BUT THIS TIME THE CAR WAS GOING THRU THE GARAGE DOOR BEFORE SHE KNEW IT AND THEN SHE THRU IT IN 1ST AND WENT THR THE FRONT OF THE GARAGE AND INTO THE BACK OF THE HOUSE/ i didn,t laugh until i was off of the phone/ my wife was happy that he was happy ------we don,t talk about the deal to much/ and she is so happy she sold her first car// she has not sold a car since---i wonder why------don,t worry she is forgiven but i had good memories of that car and nitemares after it left/ as i get older the memory fades thats what my wife tells me -----i am going to be around for along time----hahahahahahahahahhaha--------ORVIL:Fresh Meds: :bwuhaha: :bwuhaha:
 
Everybody knows the world is full of stupid people. When I was getting divorced my slutty ex was selling off my shit. She knew nothing about mopars. She sold a complete 71 plymouth air grabber setup and two 72 rallye charger doors that were the cleanest I've ever seen for 300 bucks. Money hungry BIOTCH. At least your wife thought she was doing a good job.
I hate people who scrap cars that still could have a good life.

-----------------YA we were in our 2nd year of wedded BLISS haha / she was sorry she cried so what do you do? it,s ok she tried/ but in can see your point/ i have friends who went thru divorce and we agreed that wouldn,t happen to us and a car was not worth it/ but my friends have had vindictave x-wives and some of them were mental cases and my wife would agree to that/// i got real lucky with my wife PATRICIA/ and the thing is I know it/ she is one of a kind---she says that about me too but i think in a different context-hahaha-------their out there keep looking and don,t give up/ women are like cars ---you find one and fall in love with it and it will be the best set you got// did i say set --you know what i mean i hope haha/ you,ll treat it right and run forever --good luck-------we got 28 yrs in and lots of happy miles and i am the one who needs the body job haha----you can quote me on that --i think--ORVIL:bwuhaha: :bwuhaha: :Fresh Meds:

id rather see a car rust to the ground or be abused than simply crushed..hell i cant even send anything to a crusher..id rather cut em up and scatter the pieces to ppl who need em....total FUCKING waste....scrapers have no buisness even looking at cars....and theses asshole morons love to offer lil ole ladys a tiny amount of money for that survivor sitting out front ...and often times thats how they die
 
HEY---69.5---don,t let it get to you/ i know how you feel / i have draged many a car home to give it a home/ i know where there is 100 years of cars and the PACKARDS are on their sides for a fence line--i kid you not/ i love that place and i dream of a place like that ---WHY?--because it is HISTORY / our country was built useing these autos and trucks the guy has his 1st dump truck and he tells me about running cabbage to CHICAGO from GRAND BEND ONT/ now that is a rough ride and a long one but it is HISTORY/ XL couldn,t use his camera fast enough/ i told him i would take him there to see and put this stuff on line/ it would be great to buy this place cause his son don,t care and he knows when he dies his son is going to call the scrap dealers and it will be gone/ he sells peices but it is an outside museam/ would be worth the money to buy it up and create something that would last for years----so i understand where your at on this ---so keep smiling and don,t let it get to you / enjoy what you have ---:Fresh Meds: ORVIL
 
I figured there would be lots of understanding here :) I totally agree 69.5, scrappers should all go F themselves when it comes to old automobiles. The one positive from all this is now I can start looking for another one and maybe save something, or at least a part of it, from oblivion :xl:
 
I agree, but you can send all the 1977 Mavericks you want to the scrap yard...I doubt anyone at all would get upset. And the Granadas too.
 
mannye..dont be too hasty on that statement...there the best cars for most fords to upgrade from drums to disc's as well as ALOT of other usefull bits ...even the bighgest POS has its place
