Questions 1 & 2

it depends on the parts, IE dash frames door steel sections, seatbelts, select trim parts, but NOT the seats..with one exception...ive seen the piping done and it useualy looks good

in this case, i think piped seats with the door steel done body matched may have looked good since ma did paint door steel n dashed in a "similar" color to the body

I don't even like the piping done other than in silver similar to the factory. They hire professionals to design the color scheme and design.

UDFs, dash frame, etc should always match the interior. Painting them green with a black interior would look like hell (IMO)

To me, fancy colors in the interior are like a big crossflow aluminum radiator and a chrome covered flex upper radiator hose - just no.

A local guy had a nice barracuda with the interior all gussied up and a barracuda stitched into the back seat. We called it the trouser trout.

Another sore spot - the master cylinder backing plate is green. Ugh.

Factory AC car, but rather than use what the factory engineered and installed, let's put a big black cover plate over that and drill new holes for an inferior aftermarket AC unit. In the process we can run large rubber hoses william-nilliam all over the wrong side of the car, rather than the clever factory pre-bent stuff that at least looks like it belongs there.

Both the interior and the underhood are awful, possibly so the wheels wouldn't be the "point and laugh" subject. The only people that ever got "matching exterior and interior" right were the factory designers. Even the Mod interiors used only swatches of the groovy fabric.

Since the day it was introduced, I've thought that air cleaner was the worst thing ever put in the MP catalog.

i guess it depends on the year of the car..since im used to seeing a bodys and 60s b cars with a slight missmatch of body color dragged into the interior...for a factory 2tone gut, useualy with black or white seats

my 67 fish being a good example of this..it was a factory white gut car, red upper/lower door as well as rear upper and lowwer trim a pillrs and rear tins and seatbelts all in red, with white seats and white door cards, imo tho when i went black i felt the red dash pad and red headliner looked stupid and left the interior drownig in red(red body too) so i swaped the dash pad headliner and the lowwer rear fastback tins for capreted units to help intigrate the black....great solid example of 2tone gut, does it match the body..no but its not all that far off either, my 69.5 on the otherhand IS a match on all the interior tins and it looks good as well

i think the big issue with the bright green example here is that the "splash" of color isnt integrated and its over done....solid black cards and seats, green dash frame and upper/lower door steel, black kick panels, black headliner and maybe green pillar trim and it might look good...its hard to say with such a LOUD color, subtler colors lend themselves better darker shades and most any grey or black neerly always work, same could be done in all white with a black gut

dont even get me started on that ugly ass engine bay..HARD PASS

I have seen cars with the tins painted white before. Hoo boy that was lovely.

I had a gTx with white seats and blue everything else. It wasn't terrible, but I really dislike white seats.

yeah see had you had the white panels with blue belts it really makes for a stunning 2tone gut...imo id rather have brown and black than a car dipped in black and i hate brown...point is ive never seen a car that couldnt look better with a well done 2 tone

So much wrong on that engine bay...the AC hose routing even with the after market compressor and kit is atrocious...looks like a lazy unimaginative person did the install. Then there is big GM booster and MC, electronic ignition box just up on the firewall for no reason, the black painted aluminum rad and wiper motor etc... 😖

And Don't care for the lime green accents on the interior either.

im with doc on that its nice to see it painted black so its not standing out like a sore thumb..its "trying" to blend in
also if youll note the wiring harness has been heavily modified, the location of the ignition box on the firewal was actualy pretty stratigic of course all i see is the rust issue ....looks terible sure but in an attempt to keep things cleaner..i would have mounted it lowwer and closer to the engine or right up behind the dizzy, yes its tight but i KNOW it will fit there

I can't decide which is worse, the seat inserts or the pretend Tuff wheel. I think I'll go with the inserts, though, because someone spent a lot of money to make that look awful. That's actual leather.
