I assume this is for the '71, which is a shame because I think I have all the non-AC stuff for a '73-up out in the garage. However, it requires a different water-pump housing and radiator since the inlet is on the opposite (passenger) side. I know I don't have the PS brackets, though.
Well, ha! The motor is a '77! I have the power steering setup still. Cool thing is the original 3 row radiator is the right configuration.
I'm no longer selling it, I had a couple offers for trade, one was a '79 Vette, I'm sure it needed work, and a '97 Jag XJ(?) and some other guy offered me $2k, at that point I said F it :dgt:, I'll just keep it. :hmmm:
When you say the "right" configuration, you mean the lower hose fitting on the radiator is on the passenger side? If that's the case, it's definitely not the original radiator. That's '73-newer only.
Now I'll have to go look to see what I've got out there. At least it's sunny and warm here... it's still 80 out there!
Well, if it's original to the car my setup won't work if it's a big-block car. Unfortunately, I had some unexpected company and haven't been able to get out to the garage to check.
I'm using the original water pump housing from the '77 400, and the original radiator from the 318 Charger. The earlier LA motor has the same radiator inlet/outlet as the later B motor. Luckily for me it worked out that way because the original 2 core rad from the Doba leaked, and I had a good 3 core in the Charger. The brackets you might have should work in my custom application.
That was my concern... a factory big-block radiator wouldn't work. That's why they went to the passenger-side inlet in '73 on the big blocks. They wanted to be able to use the same radiator on a 318 with AC as a 400HP car.
I know for a fact I don't have any of that. The last setup I had went with the 400/auto I sold years ago to a board member who's so inactive I can't even remember his name. He drove up here from Ohio to get it all, though.
ive gone on my own scrapping rampage as well scrapin alot of old stuff mopar included...mostly just for space...piles of carbs, dizzys, interiors blocks trans...i was just like screw it get it outta here
I ordered an alternator bracket and bolt/spacer kit from 440 Source. Kits were $12.95 each, and shipping was another 13.00. Bouchellion(?)had the whole kit for $40 + shipping. Just need pulleys now.
