On the way to school the other day, my 14 year old, Britney Spears/Spice Girls/mild hip hop loving daughter heard the tail end of a song on the Classic Rock station that I always listen to.

Well into the next song, she asks, "What was that song?"
I said, "I didn't really pay attention. How did it go?"
Her reply, " Nuh nuh nuhhhh. Nuh nuh na-nuhhh."
"Oh. That's Smoke On The Water by Deep Purple."
"It's interesting," she says.
Now in her lingo, that means "I like it."
"Do we have it somewhere?"

:giggedy:

I thought I did, but couldn't find it. So, I bought the whole Machine Head album off of iTunes and auth'd both of our computers to play it.

She's playing it right now.

Always great when the younger generations discover REAL music:clap:  As with any other guitar player Smoke on the Water was one of the first songs I learned to play. I like Hwy Star too:giggedy:

I just went and learned the opening riff. I've played off and on since I was 12 and I never learned it...
