Hey guys, so as you know a while back we had an 81 Spirit DL which we sold to my buddy. Just a slant six car ya know, nothing special. Well he has the urge to put a v8 in it, ..really bad. So what did we do today? We went and bought an AMC 304 and 3spd from my brother who pulled it out of his project jeep. Good running motor, no leaks and about 70k on it. So this is pretty much gonna start off the first major project in my new apartment, haha, should be some fun.
Now the decision time, keep it a three speed or go find another tranny (unless a slant six has the same bellhousing mounting spots as the 304?) And what should we do about springs? I was thinking of getting AMC Eagle springs since they should be the same but a bit heftier ya know.
