power steering pitman arm

hung like a stud field mouse and
I ordered a pitman arm for my power steering box on the 67 dart.
Box came out of a 69 dart.

Not sure how i did this but i ordered a moog 7076 . Parts dealer said it would be correct. Come to find out the idiot was wrong.[smilie=2:
Now to change parts dealers :hmmm:

The arm i have is way off. The hole is too big and the joint is in the opposite direction. I believe this arm comes from a 73+ dart.

What part number am i actually looking for?
I measured the inner part of the splines. (not accurately) and i got 1.01 inches. Would i be using moog part number 7074?

theres also a possibility that its from a 67...the earlyer 67 68 had a flipped over setup mid 68 is when it seems to have changed.....try ordering one for a 70..more than a few times ive gotten the wrong pitman and idler cause of the switchovers

or atleast thats what my memory is telling me...i know there was a minor change that made everything different on the 67 compared to a 69

The part you got is for a '73-up, when they went to the larger splines. I'm thinking the K7074 is the beast you want, as it's listed '67-'72 A-body power. The '67 used the oddball one-year-only idler arm, but the pitman is shown as being the same as '68-up. We ran into this with my friend's '67 Dart GT about 20 years ago... that piece was made of unobtainium even then, though I'm pretty-sure Rare Parts, Inc. could probably make one for you--and at a reasonable price, too. They've saved my arse a couple of times.
