Possible 440?

Been thinking of scooping a 440 I've been watching online for a few days. Complete '78 longblock including pistons, rods, crank, oil pan, timing cover, heads (#unknown) etc. No brackets or pulleys. Does $250 sound like a good deal? Never delved into the whole big block thing.

200 for a complete 440 seems like a good deal to me.

Some will tell you that it being a 78 is bad.
Others will tell you it doesn't matter.

I'll tell you to wait and hear from them.

Any idea what it came out of? motorhome????

1978 should be the # 452 heads . id say $250 isnt to bad .

if it were me id try to beat him up on the price and get it down to around $75.00 :bwuhaha:

I picked up my 75 440 and a 727 to go with it for $250 in PA. The deals are out there but they are getting scarcer every day. If you can get it complete for $200 I'd say go for it.

Then toss in a 440Source stroker kit and go big for cheap. :bravo:
