well my pos ford escort beater died today the trans screwed up on the interstate and acted as though it was stuck in nuetral . this is great now i have two cars that dont run = /.
 
Wow I saw the thread title and thought you were posting about my truck. :bwuhaha: Sucks about no transpo though. I know how that is all too well. :doubt:
 
im in the same boat right now.....mopar ppl are the best ..and willing to share......i hate alfa ppl they help when they feel like it wich seemingly is never
 
im gonna try like hell to get the valiant going i only need to get tires. do soemthing about the carb (rebuild or buy one that doesnt flood the motor) and get a clip for the shift linkeage speaking of which anyone have one laying around they would sell me ? and i can drive it = /
 
what engine are you running in the 76 (I could make one of several tolerable for ya cheeeep)? and what linkage clip are you referring to?

well its a slant 6 and an auto. the clip im talking about its what holds the linkage together when you shift the car into another gear ...ill get a picture tomarrow of the spot where it should be and a zip tie is holding at the moment lol . when the linkage come apart the car will not start. its weird ill just get a picture hows that lol.
 
IMPORTANT.. i need this clip or info on a suitable replacment

Damn, I have 4 NEW all season tires you could have, on steel rims, but they are 3 hours north of me, and you are south of me yet. :( Bummer.

He's in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. Yeah I have never heard of it either:bwuhaha:atleast not till I moved out here. It's on the Canookian side just outside of Detroit basically.

i know its much to ask but man i would gladly pay for the shipping although it might be cheaper to just buy em = / oh well i appreciate the though = )
 
Go to a REAL hardware store (not lowes, not home peehole, not the evil empire) a REAL honest to god hardware store and ask for some c-clips and washers. Cost maybe a 1.50$. Go the whole 2$ and grab a few spares. They might even have something similar to 68's pic. Come on, use yer brain son. :bwuhaha::bwuhaha::bwuhaha:
 
*shrug* first off we dont have any hardware stores like that all we have is home depot and lowes. second i didnt realise it could be bought at a hardware store lol i figured it was one of those things that would be a pain to find = P
