Portable Power (thoughts)

Looking at getting one of those portable boosting units that comes with air compressor and ac power outlet with 12v jumper cables for my one son for Xmas. Anyone use one of these? Pros? Cons? Ratings? Durability? Any info would be appreciated.

Im lost without mine. Get the one with the most cold cranking amps and DONT let it go dead. They have gel cells in them about the size of a motorcycle battery and are way too spendy to try to replace. If you dont have one, better tell whoever has your name on their christmas list.

The one I had in mind was a marine style 800 amp deep cycle.

I had one for a little while. It was awesome. I didnt think it would boost my car, but it did. I had doubts about it inflating a tire ..it worked.

Never tried durablitly test. Mostly because i was desperate for money so i sold it.
