Playing with the G-tech

I went out and toyed with the G-tech tonight. This is what I ended up with:

3600# car (me in it with 3/4 tank of gas)
Mostly stock 340 with 600 cfm Edelbrock, headers, 2.5" exhaust
904 with a shift kit
2.76 gears
255/60R15 tires

Average of 4 runs was 15.26 @ 92.02

I never did any tuning, just messed with launches and shift points. I can't wait for those 3.91's to get here [smilie=i:

Pretty good times for a 2.76 screw in the back and a dink behind the wheel.

The greatest value in a 2.76 gear is the weight increase you get when you throw them in the trunk of a vehicle you're crushing for scrap. A 2.94 I can almost see, but 2.76s just plain suck.

The 5A originally had either 2.26s or 2.45s.

i remember my buddys AMC concorde had some 2.21's? maybe it was 2.08.s either way it was stupidly high geared. he told me about how 80 mph at 2000 rpm feels. lol
