Anybody into photography?
I picked up a smoking good deal on some Cokin Filters off of E Bay. Eight filters of various styles, a close-up filter, some adaptor rings and a filter holder. All in excellent condition.
$18 US, including shipping.:giggedy:

The adaptors are 49 & 55, Mine's a 52 mm so these are extry.

What a great deal! Ebay is great for film camera stuff these days. I have a Contax AX and retail prices for Contax stuff would make Bill Gates raise an eyebrow. On eBay I can find cool stuff for pennies on the dollar!

49 is a bit of an odd size. I've kinda gotten used to my digital now and hardly ever use my AE-1

I must disagree to a point I have a LOT of filters and lens for a topcon RE I dropped the body,,have been looking for replacement, $$$$$ see 7583015775

Perhaps I am wrong and the bubble burst this is cheep 7583510729 will have to watch it but the topcon collectors remind me of e body cuda fans. they never let anything go cheep 7583023940

That's not so bad. My dad paid over $200 for his A-1 3? years ago. I suppose $180 for an SLR is kinda pricey now that digitals are getting to be so good. Even a friend of mine who is a photographer that said he would never buy a digital has bought himself a Canon 20D.

XL, Carmen's Camera on Wellington and Ontario (formerly Jim's) used to be pretty good at repairs. Helge was the man's name, not sure if he's still there or not.

I spoke to them, because they are the ones we deal with for the companies. They told me that it was too specialized a body for them to want to risk messing with. It is the exact same body as the queens favourite camera. Guess that explains all the pictures of girls in frilly dresses.....
They gave me the number of someone in Toronto, but I was hoping for something near by. Thanks.

Well, you aren't wrong at all. Contax, Leica, Topcon and all the other super-expensive rangefinder madness isn't always cheap, you've got your guys that think it was made from Hemi 'Cudas, but just two days ago I saw a MINT focusing rail and bellows for my AX for.... 30 bucks! That's one hell of a good deal... I don't know what the final was, but I'll bet it didn't go much higher...that' stuff is pretty obscure.

Ah. Black AE-1's and AE-1P's used to bring big money but I'm not sure anymore. I know people didn't ask outrageous amounts like that, people just bid them up like that. Like E-body stuff .....
