Snook, it looks like some repair work is in order on your flexplate. Weld them back closed and redrill using you converter as a pattern starting with a small pilot hole and open them back up with a dremel and you should be able to save it.
 
Yep, I think you're right. They are a little wallowed out but not so much that I can't fix it.
 
Is that one of those B+M plates? Looks like malloy metal in a few counterweights and a fluid dampener too. Saweet. [smilie=e:
 
yep a B&M. mallory metal all over the place. that thing that looks like a fluid damper is actually one of the crank counter weights that was turned down to clear for the stroker.
