This is what I have planned for the 63’s engine and trans:
· SB roller cam (specs not determined as yet)
· Isky red zone or crower severe duty lifters
· Edelbrock heads CNC ported and decked 0.060” (72cc) with tool room springs
· may keep the flat top Diamond slugs for a 12:1 with a 0.027” head gasket (this is probably what I’ll go with), or spring for 13.5:1 (14:1 if eddy’s are not decked – 84cc and a 0.039” head gasket) Diamonds designed for the eddy’s. if I go for the 14:1, I’ll have to use aluminum main caps.
· remote electric water pump
· Jesel belt drive
· hooker super comp adjustables (2-1/8”) jet hot coated
· thinking about trading the 3.75” (451) arm for a 3.915” unit (471), but that means new h-beams, so it probably won’t happen.
· Edelbrock inline 2x4 STR-15 massaged and 1”-2” top spacer
· Edelbrock 750’s snookered (choke towers milled off, etc.)
· Trans is going back to CRT for a billet steel drum, trans brake RMVB swap for a non-brake unit and a freshen up, I couldn’t break the thing, though I tried awful hard.
· Other stuff includes: new slicks (31x10.5x15), glass hood (5” max wedge scoop) & decklid (maybe glass bumpers too), better front and rear shocks.
