Fer it? Agin it? Would any of you guys ever wanna be Foose'd? Personally I like the show, I don't always like the results but I think Chipper and his crew do a pretty decent job and I wouldn't mind my Jeep getting the Foose touch:rolleyes:

Made it look like a cheapo generic hotrod actually. and they didn't even make D-Day:wtf: They called it E-Day, the day after D-Day. I wasn't too impressed with it honestly. Then again I'm not really too fond of the 30's style rods and roadsters. Alot of em look too much alike and they're overdone in my opinion.

After watching it last night I have a somewhat biased opinion of chippy boy. First they did a 30 furd that was full of bondo when they started and when they were done it was even fuller. It was kinda neat when they started except for the fact it had a jap mill but they dumped a Y block in it with 3 deuces. Then they got funky with a 67 charger which wasnt too bad off to begin with. When they fired the crate hemi it made a strange noise like something was rubbing and smoked up the sema tent while the crowd went wild. I guess the flowmasters had oil in them I dunno. What they did to the charger made me so mad I tried to go on their site and tell them what I thought but there was no contact us choice on the home page. All those guys used to work for Boyd Coddington so they are just an afterthought. And the way they mess with people while they have thier cars doesnt sit right with me either. If somebody came in MY yard and took my road runner and did a bunch of wierd shit to it I would go off. Rant over.

I kinda like the stuff he does...as long as he keeps his mitts off stuff that shouldn't be messed with... But if I were to have some non-numbers e-body or a Belvedere grocery-getter, I would love to get it restified the Foose way... just stay away from the stupid colors.

F em plain and simple...left over boyds men eh..they all need shot..boyd needs to be drawn and quartered

I'd let him at the Fury, but I have very set ideas on what I want done with the Dart.

Indeed they did but they built what he wanted. THey're the ones with the skill. Boyd sucks in my opinion. The Foose gang is way better than Boyd was or ever will be. Ever watch his show? That's a laugh. It's just too bad they ended up getting so commercial. Kinda like Orange County Choppers. I liked that show and the work they did until I started seeing their stuff being sold at Wal-mart and the like. I lost a lot of respect for them after that.

boyd and foose both have a certain market that they appeal to. Its the high dollar boys that like the rap rods and crap like that. Both boyd and foose target the market of new ideas and compete for the ridler award. Very hard award to win.
I also noticed this year that there was only one rod that caught my attention this year. I looked closer and i noticed that foose and boyd seemed to team up and made one rod this year to compete for the ridler award. I found this odd, but i guess it is plausible.

i personally love the 30/40's stuff and i get more excited to see that stuff then a muscle car. Every muscle car seems to be the same old same old and nothing seems to change.

40s stuff yes...30s stuff there is little that can be done any more to be original short of a rat rod look...at one point i had great respect for boyd..now i see him as nothing more than a high $$ kit car builder with dink for skills

as for foose...ive seen nothing but blinged junk....i truely miss the old craftsmen who actualy beat the steel and built TRUE CUSTOM CARS

I dunno, I kinda like their stuff. I could do without the drama of the TV shows, but the talent is there - for both Foose and Boyd Coddington.
Like DD2 said, they market to the new ideas crowd, the crowd with BIG bucks.

Its nice to sit at your monitor and criticize, but have any of us here got themselves a TV show lately? Or won a Riddler Award?

Just my opinion. :)

Hell, if they wanna take my challenger and go through it and put a hemi or even a stroker b and trick it out I say more power to them! Wheels can be changed, even paint and interior parts can be changed if the need arises but how many of us have the dough to pour into a car the way they do? I say lettum trick my ride and if I dont like it I will sell it and go buy 3 projects and a nice driver :D

Agreed.

While I'm not a fan of most of the work they have done to those cars, it's hard to argue with success.

As far as them "selling out" is concerned, I have to say that should someone every offer me majillions of dollars to put my ugly mug on TV and sell my stuff at retail outlets araound the world, I would be signing up pretty quickly.

You know, I could never figure out that "selling out" thing.
Sell out what? Their talent? Its theirs to sell, whats the big deal? The whole idea of being in business is to make money, isn't it?

Yup. 1st rule of business I would think: Make as much money as possible. So you and your family can live happy comfortable lives.

As long as other people are not being screwed over for it, I see nothing wrong with the pursuit of wealth.

I think the problem some people have with others selling out is this. We all are trying to sell out, its just that very few people are successful at it :hmmm: Hell I tried to sell out years ago but nobody's buyin
