opinions wanted

ok since i shreded one of the tires on the mini i figured i would clean and paint the rim befor puting it back on and stubled across something

the mini itself

as it started

the rim is only painted in the cut out areas the rest of it is just taped and sprayed on top of the tape....question is it seems to look soooooooo much better as a mostly black wheel do i take the tape off and retape it so it looks this way if the tape was off?....i would snag some used rims for it from a wrecker but ummmmm there aint none its the 5lug smaller than small bolt

The black looks good, show a pic with the tape off to see if the blackout in the grooves shows & is enough accent, the black works for me!Rich.

I say go with the black... more updated looking, and what the heck, it's a easy change over if you don't like them.

Yeah I like the way it looks in the pic.

Don't forget they're aluminum. I've seen paint peel off in long strips when people have painted alu bike frames without the proper prep.
