opinions wanted

this is a VERY loose mock up for my console switch panel for the lloyd....

top to bottom
the "empty" hole will be another trunk lock setup as "ignition" the other trunk lock switch will be "start"

next is a hazzard and headlight/dimmer pulled from a q45( need to swap em side to side)..i fell in love with the push button on off and twist dimmer all rolled into one

the row of 4 ....fog, wiper, hi/low,???(got a guy who will make new labels for them FREE)
the big rounds at the bottom will be heater controls
the aluminum panel is what i plan to mount it all in

im looking for any and all thoughts...both button placement and style...the idea here is i want NOTHING on the dash..and everything in reach....no stalks on the column the turns will be on the wheel

I like it....I take the power window set up is the inner ones are for the power front and rear windows, and the two out side one s are for the side glass?

Looks well laid out and very modern looking.... :2thumbs:

actualy cow....the window buttons are in place for each window and its orientation to the car....

........windshield
driver..............passenger
.......rear window

yes POWER WINDSHIELD!!!!...flat glass makes things easy

It's confusing to me, but then again I'm easily confused. Let's see it with some labels. I'm a fan of the switches however.

SO the High.low switch will be a button on the console...will that not get a little bothersome to constantly be reaching over to push the button on and off...anyway to have the high/low selector on the wheel with the turn signals??

I'm glad that you explained it that way, as I had thought they were all side windows. The 4 buttons laid out that way makes good sense.

cow.......with the wheel i have in mind(grant 663or 673) theres only room for 2 buttons....however i really dont use the high beams much....besides it will be right there in reach of the 5spd shifter..and i demanded that i use a SMOOTH button free dash, column..i wanted everything centralized like most exotics

snook.....take another look..they are all labeled (well except the windows, ign, and "start")..just that the labels are on the buttons and switches themselves...tho the 4 square ones light up and will have "correct" labels to replace a few of them as there usage is being changed from what they controlled in the donar car

71..........i cant really put it into place just yet as theres no actual console built yet..or even the shifter mount or dash just yet..fact is the console will be built around this setup.......or thats the theory

by the sounds of it the setup seems to have gone over well enuf to move forward on it..i ran my hand over it with my eyes closed and everything is quick and easy to find

im also thinking the gated(no boot ala high end old school exotics) shift plate will be on this panel as well about 4 inches forward of the ign and start buttons...or thats loosely the plan atm with the back end of it rolling up into an armrest/glove box and then up and blended into the rear firewall
