Check out the carb I bought off 68... Hey 68 check it out! It's better than new!

That's what i thought....and the instructions he sent back have something else cool... He says you should run your car at least twice a week because that's what they were made for...my kind of guy.

So maybe I'll just keep the Eddy on there in the meantime...:shifty:

It's sitting in the plastic bag it came in. Is it weird that I'm amazed by an honest vendor?

if its not already id run satin clear over it to preserve its "look"

I can tell by the shine of the choke unloader hose that it already has been clearcoated.

It doesn't happen often, but there are some that take pride in their work.

By driving primarily in fair weather they do stay quite clean. I did the carb on my R/T 11 years ago and it still looks almost that good.

If I didn't know better I'd think I was lookin at a bran' spankin' new fresh outta the box carb......but better!! Guy did awesome work!!!

Once you install that one you will throw rocks at that POS eddy. Go dump it on there fer chrissakes.

An exhaust gas analyzer is fun to use but the seat of the pants dyno is way better. 36 degrees total advance should be about right at around 3 grand and then you will need to MABEYE adjust the upper doors on the secondaries if it bogs. Run the idle mixture screws in until it falters and then back out until it smoothes up. When the advance curve matches your jetting and gearing you will be amazed at what the old bird will do. Vaccum advance goes on the port that gains vaccum when the throttle plates open.

Replace the stronger vacuum advance spring with another weak one and adjust the secondary air baffle to match the response. You will most likely need to increase the accellerator pump shot to help smoothen the primary to secondary transition.

These tricks will bring on full advance by 2K and a fully opened carb to go with it.

Like Da-ho said, you'll think that Eddy was a 2bbl.
