Now I bought ANOTHER Dart

Last week I was driving home with my wifes 03 Cavalier which was now my work car. I was on the highway when smoke started coming from the dashboard. I pulled over and grabbed a few things outta the car and within less than a minute it just bursted into flames. 15 min later it was all over. I now had no work car........... I'm a sub-contractor, I read gas meters so without a car I have no job. Here's a couple pics of the old Cavalier and the Dart that replaced it !!!!
Finally, We now own ALL DODGE'S :giggedy:

Those are nice-looking little cars. My friend has one with the itty-bitty turbo engine and the six-speed... very impressive little pocket rocket!

I originally went to the dealership to look at a used 2012 Avenger for $11900
It had 66K so the warranty was gone at 60K, the cheapest package for additional warranty started at $1949
Without adding any warranty, payments would have been $117/bi-weekly

So then with cheaper interest rates on new, I asked for numbers on the Dart....... $123/bi-weekly
If I was to add some warranty to the used car it would be same payments or more

I'm not impressed with the power of the Dart, but I can't believe how AWESOME the fuel milage is, its great !
With a mixture of highway and pissin around in town its reading 6.6 L/100km, it was 5.8 on the highway coming home with it.
Mine is the Rallye Edition, 2.0L non-turbo with 6spd auto stick
The SRT style seats are sweet, now we want to get a set of these buckets for our 71 Dart

Everywhere I go people are checking the car out. I think because there so new and you don't see many running around here

As for the Dart looking like a new Neon, absolutely it dose resemble the Neon. However, it is an all new design built from the Fiat line with German tech

When I finally had one come into work, and I got a good long look at one, that's when the Neon heritage hit me. I liked the Neons so, that's no insult by any means. Can't wait to see what the aftermarket is gonna do with these rides. [smilie=i: Travis Pastrana is driving one of these in rally cross and, it performs rather well. Now if we can get Ken Block in one! :toot:

What's the interior look like? I've heard the dash is pretty high tech.

The interior is sweet. Mine is black with red accents. Has a red outline around the dash, black/red door panels, and red striping on the SRT style seats. Rear fold down arm rest with a little door behind it that goes to the trunk, I guess thats to put the beer away when being pulled over.

The guy at the dealership said the Dodge guys are already messing with a Dart SRT for future production.

Love the black Darts. Was actually hemming and hawwing about getting one, but couldn't decide on a Dart or Tacoma. This post just pushed me towards the Dart, but we'll see
