Not even 10 years ago

Fark. Can you imagine what they will be worth 20 years from now? [smilie=b:

I was thinkin' the same thing when I was watching that crap, over the weekend...

Just think if you'd stumbeld on a '71 'hemi 'vert, back in the mid 80s, at a price too good to pass up...

:(

I remember a local guy selling his hemicuda for $7000.

Marty - as frustrating as that is, the point isn't even that so much as we now have all these banker n' lawyer types, along with the idle rich takin' a dump where the rest of us have to sleep.

Even animals don't do that.

Look at the bright side. maybe the high prices will keep Chip Foose from filling ALL of the side marker lights...

Actually, I 'spose the more silly it gets, the more sense it makes for me to spend $30,000 fixing my road runner... If I had $30,000 ...

Seriously, I know what ya mean, but nothing stays the same...Im not really frustrated by it, as much as mildly bemused...

Well - really - I have the car I want, and most of the parts I need to make it be all I want it to be, so I'm not sure why I let it concern me at all.

Except that I meant what I said in my other post about not really wanting to see more of the "high roller" crowd at the cruise nites...any more than they want me at their country clubs...

Maybe if we're lucky it'll be a fad and they'll move onto something else to spend their millions on.

toast with clarified butter !
*carefully explains to butter: "You will be on toast, melting. Soak into the pores of the bread, and be sure to spread yourself thoroughly for maximum enjoyment."*

Well the butter may be up to speed now, but the whole grain is stumbling around like XL in a bunny farm.

The toast is on a "need-to-know" basis... but it'll figue things out quickly after Chomp One.
