Tugging my johnson while
Another tranny rebuild, converter, and tearing down the engine to have a look see plus I'm replacing the intake. I love Dakotas! 45 minutes to pull the core support and engine. Much better than 340 dusters, easier to work on and they don't look like gay nova's.[smilie=f:

I gotta leave now and do a little clean up on the ports before the wife reads this post.

BTW I bought one of those crosswinds airgap intakes. I've read they were really good. In my opinion, I can see why the Edelbrock is more expensive. The crosswinds one looks like it was cast by a bunch of two year olds. If it sucks I personally go to professional products in China and cram it up someones ass sideways. :doubt:

got a neighbor we call Panhead, rumor goes she whacked herself in the face with a pan, ran over to the trooper that lives up the block and blamed it on very soon to be X.

grab that paint gun and finish the firewall, eh? Only if you want to of course.

I prefer full face, the added coverage allows the sound waves from the WHACK! to reverberate quite nicely within the confines of your protective gear. :D

Busy few days. I went through the engine and everything looked great. I port matched the heads and intake and slapped it back together. I decided to let the wifey rip the trans apart while I sat back in front salamander keeping warm and suckin down some cocktails. I'm a firm believer in the stoutness of a 727. This trans was in my biker Buddy's Cordoba and to put it in a nut shell Chucky wasn't easy on that car and not to mention the wifey putting the screws to it for the past couple years. The clutches had wear but you could see they still had alot of life left in them. Anyway I threw some new ones in and replaced the steels cuz most showed hot spots. I also tossed in a transgo shift kit. the instructions were easier to run through than the fairbanks kit wifey has in the green plymouth nova.
20 minutes later the engine and trans went back into the truck and now i'm beefing up the motor mounts. Also moved an 18" by 12" section of the firewall back 3" so now the distributor don't rub the firewall anymore Then beat the crap otta the area by the gas pedal cuz the kick down linkage was rubbing. I love that big fuggin hammer.
Up next: moving the ignition system inside the cab and mounting the hemi dart hood scoop. Still gotta figure out the fuel system, Holley blue pump or carter hi volume mechanical. I think about it when I sober up

Just in case anyone missed it.. :D

green plymouth nova.

Nice firewall. :) For a full race boogie vehicle I would personally prefer the blue pump with a return line.

Oh and I like cake, lots of chocolate cake.

How dare you call my car a 69 Camaro!!!!!!!!! It looks more like a 68!:bwuhaha:

How does one run a return line? I need a by-pass regulator eh? Oh yea, why would I need a return? I need to hurry up and wrap this truck up so I can get back to my Camar........ Damn it Nodda, gettin camaro's stuck in my head........ My Challenger.
