This fall at the Paris Auto Show Hyundai will introduce the all-new i20, which is the European equivalent of our Accent. It's one of seven models that will adopt the Korean automaker's new “Fluidic Sculpture 2.0” design philosophy by 2016.
The next-generation i20 is based on a new platform with a 45mm longer wheelbase than its predecessor, resulting in one of the most spacious cabins in the segment — comfortable enough for five adults. The trunk offers a segment-leading 326 litres of cargo room with the rear seats up.
Highlights include a unique panoramic sunroof, a rear-view camera, as well as front and rear LED lighting. The upright chrome-framed hexagonal grille has been lowered, and a thin, horizontal grille connects the front headlamp clusters. A lower grille houses the front fog lamps.
Hyundai did not release the technical specifications for the new i20, so fans will have to wait until October 2nd.
