New Schtuff for the Valiant.....

At Carlisle, we got new bumpers, new inner and outer door handles, ordered new seat upholstery from Legendary, and ordered tailpipes from Accurate in Oregon. New bumpers are on, inner door handles are on, seats will be a winter project, and Mike is just finishing up installing the tailpipes. He was very particular in what he wanted........turndowns, like the Dusters in California had. Last year at Carlisle, we talked to Don's Custom Exhaust and they said they could do anything we wanted. So, couple weeks before Carlisle, Mike called them and placed his order. When we got there this year, we were informed that he (Don) couldn't do them 'cuz Valiants didn't come with those, and he didn't have a car to go by!! DUH!!! Valiants have the same frikkin' wheelbase as a Duster, why would you need a car?? Needless to say, Mike was not impressed. So, we went straight over to Accurate, and ordered the pipes directly from their books.........and they were CHEAPER!! They Fed Ex'd them to us and we had them the next week. Okay, rant over...

Anyway, here are a few pics of the tailpipes..... :giggedy:
Oh, and BTW, the car is SOOOOO much quieter on the inside now....we no longer have to shout to talk to each other! :bwuhaha:

Those look like some nice tailpipes... where are the rest of the upgrade pics?

No offense, but I think I would've spent the money upgrading from that sissy 7¼" rear axle first.

Don't worry Doc, that plan is definitely in the works! There's an 8 3/4 with 3.91s just waiting to be installed........just two many other irons in the fire right now, if ya know what I mean. That has been planned since the car went back on the road last August. Just a matter of priorities, and other stuff......
