I dynoed the 318. It did alright...240rwhp, we've tinkered with it since, and added a MSD 6A box...im going to go next month an re-dyno it.

I ran the car at the track the other night too. 318, 3000stall, stupid peg-leg 2.76 rear, 28" tall radials, and the first time running at a real track i managed the best of 15.065.......That .066 away from a 14.9999999 is buggin me

Im going back the 2nd (dec) with some weight reduction (seats out) and a 3.91sure grip to get me off the line....then its just fine tuning it to the lowest 14 i can get it

I got some exhaust cutouts installed about 3weeks ago. I'm gathering a couple things to have 'cutout tips' that will attach to the cutout and run out about under the door..like a AAR style but under the door.

I've been in contact with the editor of Mopar Muscle, he wants to see the car when he is out my way for Mopars at The Strip in March, hope all goes well with that..

finally i rewired the wiring that was on the drivers side, inside the fenderwell a couple nights ago.

240 ponies to the pavement from a 318 is verrrry impressive.

I wanna RIDE!

Young man, do you have any idea how friggin lucky you are to have something like that at the ripe old age of 17? When I was your age I had a 63 coronet 330 4dr with a slanty. Didnt buy my first runner until I was 20 and out of the army. Kudos to you and dad for an awsome job so far. If I could find anything to change it would be to paint those rims to match the car and slip some chrome trim rings on. Some 91s and the battery in the trunk and lose a few hundred pounds wil put you in the low 14s and with the right cam you will shave off another second easy. Ive lost my liscence more than once doing stupid shit- showing off with these cars. Please keep the loud pedal activity at the track and dont let some girly you are trying to bone smuck it up and congratulations on keeping the legend alive lil bro.:clap::clap::dance:

Looks great! You take excellent pictures too!

BTW, I'll be out your way at the end of January. ;)

Yup, Goody takes awesome pictures.

I'm sure you'll have fun with the sure-grip and 3.91's, course you'll have to take it back to the track again and see what you get.

Goin back Dec 2nd   I hope i can get this 318 into the >14.3 e/t...shoullddd be able to with some practice

Dont worry about cutting a perfect light, just get settled into your launch routine. Good lights happen when they happen and getting up tight about it makes matters worse. Consistancy wins races and it comes with experience. Borrow some VHT and neutral drop it just once and I bet you break into the 12s. Looking forward to checking out your time slips after the next outing.

Whoa, ive never heard twelves before with the 318, did you mean to type 13s? ;)
I'd love to break into the 13s, i'd be stoaked. However, its my daily driver..and a neutral drop would prolly hurt somethin. I wish i could borrow some slicks! I cant really buy any because ill be goin in the air force by the time the track opens back up in spring...so id use em once and have to ship them wherever i go

What do you think i can do for 13s? Besides a neutral drop, with radials and 3.91s id just roast the tires anyway. :dave:

Drop a 360 or 440 in it? Nitrous? LOL. ;) I'm just kidding of course.

Getting your 60 foot time down would probably be a good start. Something I need to work on, too. My best 60 ft. time was 2.1 and that's when I did my best run of 13.94. This was with severe traction issues on street tires and 3.23 gears so I know there is more in it.

goody good to see you back  , sorry you missed dopamean when she was here she drops on now and then.

GREAT time for a teen ( 318 not 18) LOL.

UASF? What ASFC? I was intergrated avionics for the great F4E and RF4C loved the USAF.

When you have a 727 & 8 3/4 you should be able to a 2-3 K neutral drop I did when I was your age.

Car looks great.
