New ride!

I'm Famous!
Actually I bought this for my lil guy Griffin. It's an old Western Flyer Buzz Bike Eliminator from the Mid 60's. I had one identical to it almost 40 years ago. [smilie=e: Looks like the kid used it twice and put it in the attic. It's almost too nice for my son to use as these have become collector items. I think these old muscle bikes are cool as hell. Anyone have any pics of their old bikes? [smilie=b:

p.s. Check out the original Red Line tires

OMG so "thats" what its suposed to look like new?!?!?!...ive had one of those frames sitting in my shed for ages(saved it from a dumpster)..always thought it was "odd" and deserved some work

ive got a rather custom cruiser....wide whites sitting on open road (early bmx)solid aluminum spoke wheels painted b5 to match the frame with the outs edges of the spokes and wheel polished useing a italian schwin 3spd frame(think old 10speed size dut classic schwin lines) tuck and roll bannana seat with crome sissy bar and ape hangers ..did alot of "body work" rolling the corners and seams out to look gusseted but rolled into "leadsled" style..also rolled the rear fork area out into a dove tail and medium swing schwin forks...its LOW and LONG and weighs a ton.....wish i could find a gas tank for it(as ive got the headlight that goes well only if you have a tank to back it)...its in pieces atm as i didnt have room to store it assembled

ive got a old cherry red stingray that needs to be rebuilt as well

They sound cool 69.5....the west coast has some mean looking custom bikes! I also like all of the Schwinn Krate bikes, we're pretty rural aroung here so if you wanted a bike it came from Sears, Western Auto or Montgomery Wards! We didn't have Schwinn dealers around here!

We had one of them beautys, was a Schwinn i believe, ugly brown.. but it had a four speed :). Sat around here for years being neglected, and while Lumpy was down for the local show she fell in love with it, sadly she didnt have enough room in her car. next time she came down she was prepared and took the banana seat beauty with her. wonder how its doin now...

Kept telling me, "I ain't gonna ride that ugly thing"

[smilie=e:

belive it or not they still sell most of the old parts...anyone remember the "tractor tire"...big lugged nasty thing..they still make em..as well as the old rear slicks..and the whitewall slicks.
if i had the money i would get a springer front for my 30inch frame but there just too damn expensive(new anyway)

Rear Slick! I had one of those on my first "big" two wheeler.
It was a redline too.
That was the one on which I eventually swapped the handlebars out for a steering wheel. Longer front forks got the steering wheel sitting at just the perfect angle and height.

way cool 73!! [smilie=e:
i had sumtin similar in my days only it was orange
and it had a shifter.

cool!! me and my fat azz broke a frame like that in 7th grade.
milk crate and a 1 by 12.

"I'm eeeeevilllll kneeeee oops I think I broke my freakin' back nneeevill!!!!

It ain't your ass I was thinkin about. [smilie=e:
Ah hell, this is no fun. I just can't think of you like that. [smilie=e: I am trying!! :( *thinks like a seat....*
