I decided to give Jr the 400 I was building for my 63 as he is buying Eddy heads and wanted to up the cam. But the stock flattop pistons dont have much piston to valve clearence now with the .484 cam in the 383. So I figured since the 400 I am building for the 63 has KB pistons with plenty of valve relief and the MP .557 cam allready in it that its perfect for the Eddy heads. So the 383 will come out and in will go a .030 over stock stroke 400 (406) with the MP .557 cam and Eddy heads. I figured I would build a stroker for the 63 but my brother called me and said he would give me a 440 shortblock and brand new KB 440 quench dome pistons. And my buddy has a brand new MP .557 cam he will give me ! So it will save me money from machining the crank to fit a 400 and from buying pistons. So it looks like I will be building a .030 440 (446) for my 63 and using my 906 heads that I have ported. I feel this 400 combo will put the Dart deep in the 11's and should be a good race for my 63. Oh and while the eng is out we plan to install a 4200 9.5 Dynamic convertor in the Dart.
