Automotive News Europe says FCA Italy will bring back the “124” name for its version of the next generation Mazda MX-5 Miata. According to ANE’s staff report, “Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne revealed the 124 Spider name to journalists at the Geneva auto show on Tuesday after an impromptu check with Fiat brand chief Olivier Francois.” The is no surprise to Allpar readers: we reported the new name on December 29, 2014 when Alfa Romeo chief Harald Wester told Italian financial newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore that the new car would not be an Alfa Romeo and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles... more (full story/sharing links)
